Mission 20 – Posts
As many South Africanâs snuggle up this winter, they might forget about the millions of needy children and families without the winter basics, such as a warm blanket or a beanie. As temperatures plummet, letâs focus on finding a way to help spread some warmth this winter. Chevrolet Ute Force, a community upliftment project, in partnership with N3TC (N3 Toll Concession) and Singakwenza, an Early Childhood Development charity organisation, introduces the #WinterSnuggle Campaign, aimed at spreading love to those most in need.
Four Chevrolet dealerships along the busy N3 Toll Route, as well as the N3TC Route Help Centre at the Bergview complex, Harrismith and Singakwenza Education and Health are getting involved to collect blankets and beanies from the public.
The #WinterSnuggle Campaign aims to donate 10,000 blankets to children and families in KZN communities; from Harrismith, through Ladysmith and Estcourt, to Pietermaritzburg. . The Chevrolet Utility Bakkie, the driving force behind this initiative, will start in Harrismith and wind its way along the N3 Toll Route with blankets and beanies on board. The Chevrolet Ute Force partners will start accepting blankets from Youth Day, on 16 June, with bins at each location.
Making a difference is as simple as buying a blanket or beanie, and dropping it off at one of the General Motors dealerships or the N3TC Help Centre. What better way to warm up your own heart this winter than to share the joy of a snuggle moment!
